Almond Orchard, Stevinson CA

Our first large scale experiment is on an almond orchard.  This almond orchard had been slated for it’s final season in 2016.  At the end of it’s lifespan, and suffering from drought conditions, production has been low.  At the request of the owner we applied our product at the rate of 2 tons per acre.

About this Project

Our first large scale experiment is on an almond orchard.  This almond orchard had been slated for it’s final season in 2016.  At the end of it’s lifespan, and suffering from drought conditions, production has been low.

At the request of the owner we applied our product at the rate of 2 tons per acre.  This section of the orchard has had no other applications except for an anti fungal foliar spray.  2 additional sections of almonds are across a gravel road, approximately 2 cars wide, allowing us to compare our product against their conventional approach.  All other variables are the same across the sections of orchard except for our product being the sole input on the first section.
